1. How does TDTU be evaluated and ranked?

TDTU is the first public university in Vietnam rated 4/5 stars by QS Stars Ratings from the UK. In the QS Asia University Ranking in 2019, TDTU is ranked 291 -300 among Asian universities. In addition, according to the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), TDTU is listed at the 2nd position among 7 Vietnamese universities in their world ranking. Besides that, on July 2nd, 2018 The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCÉRES) decided to recognize that TDTU complies with French and European standards for universities. This accreditation has been granted for a 5-year term (from July 2018 to July 2023).

2. Does TDTU have undergraduate programs for international students? If yes, what language is used for  teaching in TDTU?

TDTU currently has many educational programs for international students, in which there are 40 undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese, 17 undergraduate programs taught in English and Vietnamese, 09 undergraduate  programs taught in English and 09 Joint programs with international universities.

3How much will tuition be for TDTU?

The tuition fee:

1. Undergraduate Programs in Vietnamese language:

For the Economic - Technical Branches: around 18.000.000VND - 22.000.000VND/year (≈ 766usd - 936usd/year)

Especially, for Bachelor degree of Pharmacy: 40.000.000 VND/year (≈ 1.702usd/year)

2. Undergraduate Programs in both Vietnamese and English: 

Around 38.000.000 - 45.500.000VND/year (≈ 1.617usd – 1.936usd/year)

3. Undergraduate Programs in English language

Around 60.000.000VND/year (≈ 2.553usd/year)

4. Joint programs with international universities:

Phase 1 in Vietnam: around 45.000.000 - 63.000.000VND/year (1.915usd – 2.681usd)

Phase 2 in overseas Universities: around 55.000.000 – 370.000.000 VND/year (2.340usd – 15.745usd)

4. Does TDTU offer scholarships to international students? How do I apply for scholarships? Scholarship application deadline and result announcement?

In 2019, TDTU offers more than 100 full and partial scholarships for international students. Scholarships include tuition and dormitory fee

How to Apply for Scholarships:

- Application form;

- High school diploma;

- English language certificate or other supporting documents (if any).

Scholarship application date and deadline: from now until 30 June 2019

Scholarship Result Announcement: TDTU will notify all scholarship applicants of the outcome of their application shortly after the selection process is complete. This is approximately within 2 weeks of the scholarship closing date.

5. How can I apply for a student visa to Vietnam?

For international students who are currently in their home country and have been enrolled at TDTU to study, TDTU will support international students to apply students visa.

Students will be required to provide a copy of passport and other supporting documents (required by TDTU)

TDTU will send you the soft copy of the approval correspondence from the Vietnamese Immigration Department. You will submit it together with your visa application form, original passport, and visa payment. You will then be required to collect your visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in your home country. In case there is no Vietnamese government office in your country, it’s important to inform us as soon as possible so we can organise for your pre-visa approval letter to indicate the location on arrival in Vietnam where you can collect and pay for your student visa.

Important note:  International students must have a student visa and comply with the visa conditions to study at TDTU. If you are on a different type of visa, you may be required to leave Vietnam in order to apply for a student visa. TDTU is not responsible for and cannot guarantee the outcome of any visa application.

6. What is the age limit for international students?

No, there is no age limit for international students applying to TDTU.
