"48 Hours at Ton Duc Thang University” for Cambodian Students
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a program “48 hours at TDTU” for Cambodian students to pay a visit at TDTU main campus within 3 days from 29th to 31st October. The College of International Studies collaborated with the Student Affairs Department to host the program, together with other faculties to conduct activities during the visit.
On the first day, all students energetically went on a campus tour and had a closer look at the classrooms, laboratories, library, stadium, and other facilities at TDTU. The program also offered the students the opportunities to integrate with the university life and interact with the local students by accommodating them at the 5-star dormitory inside the campus. Significantly, the night was highlighted with a gala show warmed by both Vietnamese and Cambodian traditional, lively performances. The show connected and tightened the friendship between students of the two sites.
The second day was covered by a career orientation in the morning and a city tour to historical destinations that improved the students’ understanding about what majors are compatible with them and the professions they will decide to pursue after their high school graduation as well as brought them to the life of the people in a beautiful city full of hustles and bustles, named as Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, respectively. Of the same day, all students explored a mall close to the university, spent their time shopping for souvenirs and had a peaceful night before their departure back to home country the next day.
The trip must have left the students a lot of good memories and meaningful moments with TDTU. The program was also a successful starting point for the next prospective programs for Cambodian in particular and international students in general.
